The highly publicized federal murder case involving the killing of DEA agent Enrique “Kiki” Camerena in Guadalajara, Mexico, inspired a book, a movie, and a national drug prevention campaign. He was promptly hired by one of the main suspects in the case and obtained a pre-trial dismissal of all charges except one count of obstruction of justice.
